A streetwise 12 year old boy named Zain flees his negligent parents after committing a violent crime. He is sentenced to five years in prison and sues his parents in protest for the life they have given him. 

Rated R for language.

Capernaum is a Lebanese drama directed by Nadine Labaki, released in 2018.  Winner of the Cannes Jury Prize, nominated for a Golden Globe (Best Motion Picture Foreign Language) and an Oscar (Best Foreign Film of the Year).
