The Sydney Wright Room is being used for storage during this time, so it will be unavailable. The Blue Conference Room is also unavailable. The rest of the library is open for normal business. Ticks in Rhode Island: A Public Health Crisis

The Jamestown Tick Task Force is pleased to present Dr. Thomas Mather, nationally known tick expert and authority on Lyme Disease. Dr. Mather is a professor of Public Health Entomology at the University of Rhode Island and the Director of the Tick Encounter Resource Center. He will discuss the spread of ticks in Rhode Island and the threat of the tick-borne disease in Jamestown.
The RI Blood Center wants to hold a special event to thank and recognize several individuals in the community who have helped so many through their generous blood donations over many years. We also want to pay tribute, posthumously, to Jim McLoughlin, a long-time supporter and donor to the RI Blood Center.
We envision offering light beverages and desserts.
An educator presents a 60 minute presentation that covers a wide range of topics that pre-retiree's will face in retirement.
