There was a water leak in the Youth Services area on Monday, January 26th. This wing will be closed until further notice. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to our Youth population. The Sydney Wright Room is being used for storage during this time, so it will be unavailable. Living History Demonstration - 18th century textile production from raw materials to finished usable products presented in period dress.

Spinning of wool on an 18th century great wheel and weaving on a portable loom are demonstrated. History and politics of the time are discussed. Various fibers and period tools are on display for examination.

Also a hands on weaving project on a cardboard loom. Participants take home their woven piece, cardboard loom and a yarn needle.

Registration for this presentation opens on Tuesday, June 18th.
